Slip fittings
The anti-slip metal fittings are metal fittings that fix the vertical joists that support the loading platform and the chassis in the front-back direction. Bolts are used to secure the joists and chassis to prevent misalignment when the truck accelerates or brakes.
Non-slip metal fittings and U-bolts completely secure the bed and chassis
The anti-slip metal fittings are parts that fix the vertical joists and the chassis to prevent the cargo bed from slipping or falling off. An iron bracket method is used to fix the non-slip metal fittings installed on the vertical joists and the non-slip metal fittings installed on the chassis using bolts.
Non-slip metal fittings are generally welded to the vertical joist or chassis, but in some cases, such as the Hino Large Profia from 2017, they are installed with bolts using holes in the chassis.
Always use the anti-skid brackets in conjunction with the chassis U-bolts. However, U-bolts cannot be used when the cargo bed and vertical joist are integrated, such as a tank truck. In such cases, the cleats alone may be used to secure the joists and chassis.
In recent years, there are many structures such as urea tanks that obstruct the installation of non-slip metal fittings, so please install them in appropriate positions.
Precautions when choosing anti-slip fittings
Anti-slip metal fittings are available in "opposite type", "U-shaped" and "V-shaped", and the type that can be used differs depending on the vehicle type and chassis shape.
When using the "opposed type" or "kono" type, check the positional relationship of the bolt holes on the vertical joist side and the chassis side so that the bolts are not slanted in the horizontal direction. Please select a product that matches the specifications of the loading platform and chassis that you plan to install.
Depending on the vertical joist and chassis specifications, it may be necessary to drill holes in the anti-slip metal fittings, but due to structural strength, it is absolutely impossible to drill holes in the chassis.
When installing anti-slip brackets, be sure to read through the mounting instructions. Don't forget to check the hole pitch of the chassis and anti-slip metal fittings, and the size and hardness of the bolts used.
