Single tail lamp
From a safety standpoint, it is necessary to choose tail lamps with excellent visibility to prevent rear-end collisions with following vehicles. A long time ago, tail lamps were mainly incandescent lamps (light bulbs), but now they are changing to LED types. In this category, we handle types that can be purchased separately for repairing tail lamps.
Safety standards for truck tail lamps
Taillights are an important part that informs the vehicles behind you of your vehicle's presence, so strict safety standards are established. Specifically, it must be visible at night from a distance of 300 meters behind the vehicle and must not interfere with the driving of the following vehicle. In this way, it is not enough to simply have a large amount of light, but it is necessary to choose a tail lamp with a light amount that also considers the surrounding cars.
In addition, the safety standards were revised in 2012, and new registrations (including second-hand cars) after January 1, 2012 are required to be equipped with tail lamps that meet the following requirements.
- Change in the number of tail lights, brake lights, and direction indicators * From 2 or 4 to 2 for tail lights and brake lights, and from 1 to 1 on each side of the rear of the vehicle for direction indicators change
- Must be E-marked (ECE certified product)
As a result, the method of arranging multiple single tail lamps is not approved. LED tail lamps with a structure that looks like a combination of single units are also approved as a single unit, and the method of arranging multiple single LED tail lamps for repair is not approved.
