Wing Lock
A wing lock is a part attached to a truck whose body shape is a wing. It is attached to the side of the truck to fix it to the body frame and tilt when the wing is closed.
Wing lock operation
Wing-body trucks frequently open and close the wings when loading and unloading, and the wing locks are always operated at that time.
The closed wings are fixed to the body and tilting by wing locks, so pull the handle of the wing locks to unlock. After closing the wing, it is locked by returning the handle of the wing lock.
The wing lock not only makes it easier to open and close the wings, but it is also a safety device to prevent the wings from accidentally opening while driving.
There are different types of winglocks
There are different types of wing locks, such as "separate type", "small middle part" and "integrated type". The shape differs depending on the type, but the basic role and operation method are the same for all wing locks. In general, many trucks with separate wing locks are seen.
Yamada Body Works sells wing locks such as Seiko holders with a small middle section and separate toggle clamps.
