JB cab switch for Fuso Canter (from November 2010)
The switch may break down after long-term use, so early replacement is necessary. In this category, we deal with in-cab switches that fit the 8th generation Bluetec Canter and later models.
Canter switch features
Inside the cab of the Canter, the switches are concentrated around the steering wheel and around the audio panel. In addition, Canter's switches are easy to turn on and off, and many use "seesaw type" switches that are easy to understand visually.
Some types have the name of each mechanism such as "indoor light" or "work light" written on the surface of the switch, so be sure not to make a mistake when purchasing a replacement switch. General-purpose switches with no label on the surface are also sold, so it is possible to replace switches that do not have the name of each mechanism originally.
Points to note when purchasing a canter switch
The Canter switch has a different shape between the 7th generation Canter (2002-2011) and the 8th generation Bluetech Canter (2010-2020) and later models, so check the model and year when purchasing. Let's keep it.
In addition, Canter after Blue Tech has two types of vehicles, one with only 12V battery power supply and the other with 12V/24V power supply for bodywork with 24V. If the car has a power gate on the rear or is a wing car, there is a 24V bodywork power supply. The switch in the cab is compatible with 12V and 24V, so there is no problem, but the relay must be selected to match the power supply voltage. Pay attention to the power supply voltage when installing the relay.
Yamada Body Works also offers various switches with different indications such as "wing", "tailgate", and "work light".
