wing parts

Truck wing parts include a huge variety of parts, including small ones. Keep in mind that some parts require periodic replacement or maintenance.

Truck wing parts require regular maintenance

Various parts are used in the wing part of the truck. Below are some of them.

  • wing gasket
  • wing lock
  • wing switch
  • hydraulic cylinder
  • power unit
  • hinge
  • locking device

In addition, since trucks tend to travel longer distances and are used more frequently than ordinary passenger cars, parts deteriorate and need to be replaced more frequently.

Replacement of parts as necessary, inspection and maintenance are very important for safe driving. Even if you focus on the parts of the wing, if the lock breaks down and the wing becomes unfixed, it can cause an accident.

Wing up/down switches and magnetic relays that are frequently used in truck wing parts

On wing trucks, the wing up/down switch is operated when loading and unloading cargo. This wing up/down switch is used frequently, so it is a part that often needs to be replaced.

Yamada Body Works sells the wing up/down switch separately.

We also sell the wing switch box that houses the wing up/down switch and the dedicated rubber packing separately. There are L (left) and R (right) wing switch boxes, so be careful when purchasing. However, the wing up/down switch handled by Yamada Body Works cannot be used for trucks that use the mini-motion package.

The power unit of a wing car (a device that supplies hydraulic oil to the cylinder to control opening and closing) operates many times a day, so it may break due to long-term use. One vulnerable area is the magnetic relay. The magnetic relays handled by Yamada Body Works are for repair in the event of a failure, so be sure to select the same model number product.
