Door contact rubber
The hit rubber is a small black rubber cushion attached just below the tilt. Since it is sometimes lost, regular checks are essential to protect the tilt.
Hit rubber is a cushioning material to protect tilting.
Hitting rubber prevents direct interference with floor frames, side bumpers, and other structures when the tilt of a flat body or wing car is fully opened. Although it is a small and inconspicuous part, if there is no contact rubber, the metal parts will collide with each other, which will accelerate the damage and deterioration of the tilt and surrounding parts.
In some cases, genuine hit rubbers are fixed simply by screwing them into holes in the body. Since the hit rubber may be missing, check if the hit rubber is properly installed when opening the tilt. Hitting rubber is sometimes called "door rubber", "tilting rubber", "tilting rubber", etc., but they all refer to the same part.
Selling hit rubber with different diameters and heights
Hit rubber is a simple cylindrical stopper, and there are not many types. Yamada Body Works sells two types of hit rubber with a diameter of 50 mm and 60 mm, and the height is as follows.
- Diameter 50mm: Height 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 70mm
- Diameter 60mm: Height 30mm, 38mm, 50mm
Since the contact rubber has a hole for inserting a screw, it can be fixed to the body by inserting a screw into the hole at the tip of the contact rubber and tightening it with a nut and spring from the back side. In many cases, the hole in the body is too large to fit the nut. In that case, insert a flat washer inside the nut to fix it.
