Interior light, room light

When working inside a truck, be sure to install interior lighting to ensure safety and improve work efficiency. Interior lighting comes in various types and sizes depending on where it will be installed.

The necessity of interior lighting

Loading and unloading inside a truck takes up a significant amount of time during the transportation process, making it essential to maintain a proper working environment inside the truck. If work is carried out in a darkened area, various problems can occur, such as tripping over cargo or uneven surfaces and getting injured, or misreading delivery slips and making inspection errors.

Therefore, install bright interior lights inside the warehouse to create a suitable working environment.

Types of interior lights

Until now, fluorescent lights were the mainstream for interior lighting in warehouses, but they had the disadvantages of being susceptible to vibrations during operation and having a short lifespan. Furthermore, due to the government's policy of promoting the transition from fluorescent lighting to LED lighting, some manufacturers have already stopped producing fluorescent lights, and it will become difficult to obtain fluorescent lights for production and repair in the future. For this reason, LEDs, which have a much longer lifespan than fluorescent lights, are now the mainstream.

Fluorescent lights and LEDs have different light characteristics. Fluorescent lights spread light throughout the entire interior of a room, while LEDs emit light in a straight line. Therefore, a disadvantage of LEDs is that the area directly beneath the light source is bright, but it becomes darker as you move away from it. In recent years, products have emerged that use lenses to diffuse the LED light, illuminating the entire interior of a room.

LEDs consume less power, so many people are replacing fluorescent lights with them to save energy. Interior lights come in "surface-mounted" and "recessed" types, so you need to check the installation location before purchasing. There are also "low-temperature compatible" LEDs that can be used inside refrigerators and freezers.

Yamada Bodyworks primarily sells LED-type interior lights, as well as long-type "LED line lights" that are installed in a linear fashion inside the vehicle, and "mounting harnesses."
